“It’s important to push yourself outside your comfort zone and what you are used to. Change is a good thing!”
Wahooooooo! We are finally down 10lbs!
And I believe that is because I continue to push myself outside my comfort zone.
I am trying new foods and recipes, eating vegetables and things I wouldn’t normally eat to fuel my body with healthy things.
I am pushing myself to workout on machines I don’t normally use. I used to only use the elliptical, but I am branching out using the rowing machine, the Peloton bike and stair master.
I am pushing myself to weight lift on machines that I used to be embarrassed to use.
I am pushing myself to get up earlier, complete a daily BeachBody workout program on top of what I am already doing in the gym.
I am pushing myself to blog every day and be as transparent as possible on the journey.
Life truly does begin at the end of your comfort zone.
It is important as we continue on throughout our journey that we continually change things up and always push ourselves to be better and stronger.
The days that I switch up my workout routine are the days that I have the most progress on the scale.
Weightloss journeys can be so daunting and overwhelming. And honestly, uncomfortable.
You are working hard to change your body which requires changes in many areas of your life.
You are learning to eat different foods, think differently, handle emotions differently, and learning to push you body in ways you haven’t before.
Eating whatever I wanted, sitting on the couch and being overweight was comfortable for me. It was all that I knew.
But then doing the same easy workouts became comfortable.
The more I push myself outside my comfort zone, the more change is becoming comfortable. Change can become a lifestyle, in a good way!
We must always be pushing ourselves to the next level or we will never grow.
What is one thing you can do today to push yourself to the next level?
Growth is right around the corner, we all just need a little push.
