4/19 Starting weight: 270
5/10 Today’s weight: 251
It is day 22 already! We are almost 25% into the journey!
Saturday, on day 20, I reached my goal of 250! That is 20lbs down in 20 days!
My husband and I celebrated by going to the beach and out to eat at a waterside restaurant. I believe it’s good to celebrate the small victories!
I scoured the menu and annoyed my waitress with a million questions about gluten free this or substitutions, and to no avail, ended up getting a salad. I really didn’t want to celebrate by eating a salad. Sure, it was okay, but that’s just not what I had in mind.
Regardless, it was a great day celebrating a big acheivement! It is such a wonderful life living here in Florida because there is so much to do, Disney is 10 minutes away and the beach isn’t much farther. I am one blessed woman to live in paradise!
Yesterday (day 21), was Mother’s Day. I woke up remembering that I am on this weightloss journey to become a mom.
Many of us are just dying to become a mother. It reminded me of why I am working so hard and what I am working for. I long to be a mom and wife that is healthy, strong in the Lord and continuing to grow.
I recently got to spend time with my best friend and her kids when I was in Mrytle Beach. And as I watched her with her children, I was overjoyed for her. Getting to hold that baby filled me up and reminded me that my time is coming.
God is so good. God wants the best for us. God fulfills his promises and honors the desires of our hearts. God makes dreams come true.
I am filled with hope that one day soon, I will celebrate Mother’s Day too. My time is coming.
So this morning (day 22), I woke up ready to conquer the week. I may have gained a pound or two over the weekend, but I stuck to my diet. It’s okay to have a day of rest here and there. But I am ready to hop right back on the wagon and seize the day.
I hopped on that elliptical this morning as the sun was rising, and I was determined to stick to my plan and work hard. I envisioned myself running towards that goal of health and motherhood.
What goal are you running towards?
Til tomorrow,
