Can you change overnight?
I have had multiple instances in my life where things changed dramatically seemingly overnight.
They say that sometimes, you get to your lowest point and that is when you are finally ready to welcome change.
Maybe you can identify with one of these statements.
I have struggled with this habit for years, it’s going to take a while to change. It’s not going to just happen overnight.
I’ll always be alone. I have to get myself right before I can be with someone else.
I’ll won’t have any children until my body is in perfect health. I need to take all the right supplements and have a perfect diet before I’ll be able to bear children.
I won’t stop being broke until I get that fulltime position or a second job. I can barely pay bills as it is.
I’ve been in this cycle for so long, it will take me forever to get out of it.
I have had such severe anxiety that it’s just something I have to learn to manage and deal with.
I can’t reverse my diagnosis, I just have to go through it and work with the treatment plan.
While sometimes we need to truly work on ourselves, work a little harder, or follow a recovery plan, I believe that God can change us overnight.
I have so many testimonies of this being true in my own life.
I have quit a smoking addiction overnight. My difficult relationship with my mom changed overnight. I received anonymous money overnight to pay off debt and buy a car. One night I was attempting suicide and the next day realizing I was going to marry the love of my life.
But God. Things that seemed impossible became possible.
Whatever it is you are struggling with, no matter how big or small, God is big enough to handle it. He sent his son Jesus to handle it on the cross so we didn’t have to.
God is big enough to handle your addiction, your diagnosis, your anxiety, your money problems, your desires, your health. He is more than capable to completely change your life in a second.
But that requires faith and trust on our end.
We need to believe that God wants good things for us and believe that they belong to us. The promises of God are our in heritance. We need to know what belongs to us instead of relying on our human strength for the answers. God can do things no man can do.
Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us Ephesians 3:20
If God is able to do immeasurably more than all we can ask for or imagine, we need to trust Him.
We need to pray and believe for miracles in our lives. God doesn’t want you to spend one more minute in pain, poverty, anxiety
We need to believe Him when He says He’s our healer, redeemer, provider, peace. He is the answer to it all.
Your life can change overnight, especially when you surrender and allow Him to invade every aspect of your life.
Yes, my friends, you can change overnight because God is that good.

Father God, thank you that you don’t want me stuck. You want to get me out of every mess and restore me. I want to live the best life possible. Help me to trust you when it’s hard. Help me to believe that you are true to your word. Help me to use the authority you have given me to pray the promises of God over my life. Change my heart God. Help me to trust you with every fiber of my being. I give you the glory and opportunity to do whatever you want to do in my life. I love you.
