Where to Find Your Baby Yoda Shirt in Disney

If you are visiting Disney World and are the ultimate Baby Yoda fan, I have to the scoop on where to find your Baby Yoda shirt in Disney World! There are only a select few places that sell them! So before you go on a Baby Yoda hunt frenzy, I’ll tell you how I found mine and where you can find yours!

My wife and I recently moved to Disney World in Orlando, Florida and we wanted to be cultured in all things Disney. We had both seen a few Star Wars movies but had never watched them all and decided we wanted to become super fans, even if we are a little late to the game. 

We rented all the Star Wars movies and watched them in air-date order, as original fans instructed us to do. 

After becoming fans of all things Star Wars, we knew we had to jump on the Mandalorian bandwagon…

Baby Yoda. My heart of stone melted. I was in love.
This tiny, big brown eyed, green peanut headed baby was absolutely adorable and my wife and I are not the only ones who think so. 

After falling in love with “the child”, of course, all Baby Yoda merchandise was on my mind. I immediately wanted to represent my favorite creature in the galaxy on my shirt. But I couldn’t find one.

Walking through Disney Springs a day after New Years, we walked into every possible clothing and Star Wars store on the premises. Star Wars Trading Post, Star Wars Galactic Outpost and World of Disney only had Baby Yoda socks and phone cases.

Everywhere we went in Disney Springs that had Star Wars merchandise, people were gathered and crowds were swarming, in search of Baby Yoda apparel. People were talking about it everywhere we went, asking if there was more than what was there. There even seemed to be extra staff surrounding the merchandise in case a fight broke out, which most definitely could have happened. 

People were hyped up for this precious, green baby and were looking for him everywhere.

Until the moment…we saw him. 

A Disney cast member was holding a one, lone Baby Yoda Shirt. His little eyes looked up at me as I read “The Child” displayed across the bottom of the gray long-sleeved tee. 

We followed her as she went back behind the counter to look up something with the tag. Our eyes were glued, knowing it was the only shirt on the premises of Disney Springs. 

She brought the shirt back to the Baby Yoda section and we went to grab it, but somebody else got to it first. 

Crowds began to gather as the girl debated buying the shirt, asking where she found it and if there are any more. The second she set that shirt down, we snagged it right up. 

The sales woman said, “This is the only one we have in the store, and we only have it because it was a return from one of the theme parks”. Boy, were we in luck! 

We did not hesitate to grab the shirt quickly as we walked around the rest of the store flaunting our new Baby Yoda merch proudly. The amount of people talking about this adorable little creature was amazing. When we saw the shirt, it was like people gathering around at a zoo exhibit, only this was a fictional character on a shirt everyone wanted to see.

It’s no doubt that the Mandalorian’s popularity has grown since the November launch of Disney+, the Netflix of all things Disney. I highly recommend Disney+ if you are any kind of Disney fan. (Read our review of Disney+ here)

Before my wife and I decided to try out Disney+, what drew us in was nothing other than Baby Yoda himself. The memes were everywhere, all over social media and the internet. One look at his little face and we knew we wanted to see what all the fuss was about.

We ended up binge watching the whole show season 1 in an entire day! It was that good. The plot was terrific, the characters were great, and of course, how can you not thoroughly enjoy a show when Baby Yoda is in it?

And if you are anything like me, you’re probably wondering when the next time we will get to see our favorite green creature and Mando duo return… 

Well, I have good news for all of you! The producer of the Mandalorian announced recently that the show will be returning for a season 2 this fall of 2020 exclusively on Disney+. So if you don’t have Disney+ yet, now is the time to catch up!

Don’t just take it from me, within a month of the launch of Disney’s Mandalorian, they had already released Baby Yoda plush dolls for the consumers purchase! These items are in such high demand that they are on pre-order (and even the preorders are selling out) and won’t be available to the public until around April 2020.

That’s why we decided to go with something that was available at this moment because we couldn’t wait that long. They have T-shirts, phone cases, and the whole lot of merchandise. Its truly captivating how one fuzzy headed green baby could take the world and Disney lovers by storm so fast. 

**A few of the confirmed places that are carrying this adorable merchandise are, Mouse Gear in Epcot, Animation Courtyard Star Wars Launch Bay in Hollywood Studios, and Tomorrowland Light and Power Company in Magic Kingdom. So, if you happen to be heading to Disney World and are planning a scavenger hunt to find your own “child” merchandise, these are the places to try!
