Are your dreams big enough?

Some of us are dreamers and some of us are realists.

Sometimes it seems like realists just rain on your parade, or just your dreams. Haha.

But are you dreaming big enough, is the real question.

Many of us limit God because we refuse to dream. I believe God wants to do more in your life than you’ve even dreamt of.

I remember, back in the day, when I wanted to be a performer. In the 5th grade, they asked us in the yearbook what we wanted to be when we grew up. My response, a famous singer and dancer.

I longed to be on stage in front of thousands, as some pop star or actress. I worked hard and developed my gifts the best I could.

When I finally stopped desiring what I wanted and asked God what He wanted, He opened my eyes to the bigger picture and the bigger dream of my heart.

I did end up performing in front of thousands. In fact, I sang in front of more people in one arena than Madonna has. But it was in a setting that was bigger than I had dreamt, and the outcome was bigger than I had dreamt. I stood on stage and sang for thousands, not for myself, but for Jesus. And I watched as those people gave their hearts to Him and were healed.

My dream was too small. If I had become some pop star, I never would have had the impact or opportunity that God had in mind for me.

I was dreaming too small.

We need to remember that God can do ANYTHING. Anything at all. More than we can even ask for or imagine.

Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us Ephesians 3:20

Many of us are guilty for thinking inside the box when God doesn’t even fit inside that box.

If we all truly believed that God was capable of anything, we would be dreaming soooo much bigger because we know that it’s actually possible.

It’s especially beautiful when we dream bigger and include God in the dream, giving Him the opportunity to reveal Himself and get all the glory. Because let’s face it, this life is not about us.

It’s time we stopped limiting God. It’s time we dream bigger and align our dreams with His.

Pray with me!
Father God, forgive me for dreaming to small and forgive me for limiting you. I know that you can do anything, more than I can think of or imagine. I ask that you would give me Your dream for my life and use me. I want to live to my fullest potential. I want to dream selflessly. Give me the strength to do your will and trust you in the process. I want to dream bigger because I know you can do it all.
