Are you settling?
I remember my friends having crappy boyfriends in high school and even in our twenties. I would always ask, are you settling? And the answer was usually yes.
But this doesn’t only apply to relationships.
As Christians, we are walking representations of Jesus and what He can do. And if we think settling for mediocre is fine, what does that say about God?
Should we be settling for less than?
Are you settling with terrible friends?
Are you settling with a mediocre job?
Are you settling with an average boyfriend/girlfriend?
Are you settling with a mediocre faith?
Are you settling with low finances?
Are you settling with bad health?
Sometimes God takes our mediocre to use and teach us in that season. But this is when we need to assess our lives and wonder if there is more. God wants us to be walking billboards for miracles and success.
God wants good things for us, always. He wants to move in our lives and to be glorified through it. But if we tolerate settling for less, that doesn’t show how miraculous God can be.
He wants opportunities to show Himself. He wants to use you to reach others. He wants us to ask and He wants to answer!
Yes, ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it! John 14:14
It’s all about actually asking for it!
God doesn’t want us to struggle. We need to be bold enough to ask for that healing, ask for financial provision, ask for a Godly spouse, ask for a house…and then believe for it!
So many of us settle for less because we think that’s all there is. We think, well that’s the best I’m gonna get. But God can do exceedingly and abundantly more than you can think or imagine. He wants people to come to Him because of what He’s done in you.
He wants people to come to Him because of what He’s done in you.
It’s about time we step up and be open to the miracles that God wants to do in our lives. But that requires us to understand what areas we settle in and asking God to step in so that He can get the glory.

Pray with me!
Father God, forgive me for settling in certain areas of my life. Help me to identify where I’m settling or living less than what you want for me. When I ask for things, help me to believe for them to. I want to be a walking billboard for your glory. I want to be used by you and for you. Thank you that you want more for me than a mediocre life.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
